Voluntary Recall, Pacific Oysters

Prior to the CFIA announcement of an official Class 3 recall on April 14, 2022 for select Pacific oyster varieties, we were made aware of an alleged illness related to the consumption of Royal Miyagi Pacific Oysters. 

While our internal risk assessment unveiled a low probability of illness, out of an abundance of caution, Intercity Packers Meat & Seafood chose to initiate a voluntary recall of Royal Miyagi Pacific Oysters on April 11 and 12, 2022. 

On April 12, 2022, the following communication was sent to our customers who may have purchased the Royal Miyagi Pacific Oysters.

Intercity Packers Meat & Seafood is initiating a voluntary recall for the aforementioned raw oysters from the marketplace due to reports of suspected Norovirus illness from the CFIA and VCH. Consumers should not consume the recalled products. Please discontinue selling these products immediately by removing them from display, counting the amount in your inventory, and dispose of them as per your company policy. If you distribute these items further to your customers please ask them to hold or return them. ICP will credit for all disposed or returned products.
